Dahi bade, and six ways to use chaat masala
Dahi Bade
Serve cold
- Soak the vadas and squeeze them gently.
- Pour chilled, whisked dahi over them.
- Sprinkle Sindhu Swaad Dahi Bada Masala on top.
- Add the chutneys, chill and serve cold.
CHAAT TIP: Always sprinkle at the end. Never cook the masala; heat kills the aroma.
Chaat Masala, 6 ways
Sprinkle. Toss. Serve.
- Aloo chaat: toss boiled potato cubes with onion, tomato and 1.5 tsp masala.
- Fruit chaat: ½ tsp over apple, banana, pomegranate and guava with a squeeze of lemon.
- Dahi aloo: whisk ½ tsp into chilled yoghurt with a pinch of sugar.
- Shikanji and lemonade: a generous pinch in fresh lemon juice with water, sugar and ice.
- Salads and raita: a pinch over any salad, raita or cucumber.
- Snacks: dust over makhana, puffed rice, roasted chana or corn.
WHY AMCHUR, NOT LEMON? It brings the same sour note and a fruity aroma without adding any liquid to your dish.

Amchur beyond chaat
Just a pinch does it
A pinch at the end lifts bhindi, aloo and gobhi without adding water, and it adds sourness to tikka marinades without thinning them.
Chaat Masala contains black salt (kala namak) and common salt.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Three zip-lock pouches: Sindhu Swaad Dahi Bada Masala, Chaat Masala and Amchur Powder. These are the same pouches we sell singly; the pouch sizes are shown under "What's inside" above.
The kit costs less than the three pouches bought one by one, and shipping is free. The exact saving is shown next to the price above, worked out from today's single-pouch prices.
Dahi Bada Masala and Chaat Masala are sprinkled on at the end, never cooked, because heat drives off the aroma. Amchur can go in at the end or while chole and dal simmer.
Amchur gives the same sour note with a fruity aroma, but without adding liquid. That keeps dry sabzis and tikka marinades from turning watery.

Yes. Every batch is lab tested before it's packed, which is why the "Lab Tested" mark appears on each pouch. We check for purity and adulteration so what reaches your kitchen is exactly what's on the label — nothing added, nothing substituted.
Grinding in small quantities keeps the temperature low and locks in the natural oils that carry a spice's aroma and flavour. Large-scale, high-speed grinding heats the spice and drives those oils off. Small batches also mean each lot moves quickly from our grinding unit to you, so it reaches you fresher.
Keep the pouch sealed using its zip-lock, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and steam. Always use a dry spoon — moisture is the main cause of clumping. Refer to the best-before date printed on the pack; for the fullest aroma, we recommend finishing a 100 g pouch within a few months of opening.
